First Choice Community Healthcare Receives Approval for State Grant

04/13/2016

At its April 12, 2016 administrative meeting, the Bernalillo County Board of Commissioners approved a request for a $160,000 Local Economic Development Agreement (LEDA) grant for First Choice Community Healthcare. Bernalillo County will act as the fiscal agent on behalf of the State of New Mexico.

“The need for healthcare never diminishes,” says Commission Chair Art De La Cruz. “This grant will help to build additional facility infrastructure which will increase the health care services for our community.”

The LEDA funds will be used to design, build and construct facility infrastructure that will be adjacent to the South Valley Family Health Commons, in order to provide additional health services and activities to the community.

Bernalillo County will submit reimbursement requests to the state on behalf of First Choice Community Healthcare.

Bernalillo County will monitor the status of this project and ensure that timely reports are submitted to the State of New Mexico.
