The Bernalillo County Open Space Master Naturalist Program aims to instill the pursuit of life-long learning and promoting environmental stewardship. Participants are actively engaged through education and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources on Open Space properties. The South Valley Multipurpose Senior Center is the only senior center within Bernalillo County. It is an 18,000 square foot facility that offers hot lunches to seniors at no cost. All rooms within the facility provide programming for seniors - quilting, fitness, ceramics, dining area, computer lab, and a game/TV room. For information on the SVCC, please click here.
Seniors need to order their meal one day in advance of service. Contact Viola Abeyta at 468-7604 to place your order for the following day.
Hot lunches are served Monday-Friday at each of the seven senior meal sites. Please click here for a list of locations. To order your meal, you will need to call the Meal Site Manager one day in advance. For more assistance, please call Evelyn at (505) 468-7341.

Yes, meal program participants are encouraged to participate in arts and crafts, exercise classes and field trips.
Yes - the fee is $225 for the entire school year. There is also a Wednesday-only fee available for $72 per year. Cash is not accepted, but other forms of payment are allowed - debit cards, checks or money orders. For more information on the afterschool recreation program, click here.

More than 55 youth summer lunch sites are operated by Bernalillo County in parks, churches, schools, apartment complexes, community centers, pools, and other venues.
