BCFD Station 1 Fire

Aug. 10, 2016 - from Division Chief Chris Gober: With the recent precipitation that we have received over the past several weeks, the fire danger has decreased and fuel moistures have risen. We will be lifting the open burning restrictions in the East Mountain areas of Bernalillo County, effective immediately. This coincides with the Sandia Ranger District's lifting of their restrictions as well. Open burning will be permitted from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.

For updated information, call the Burn Line at (505) 468-7200.

For any other information, contact the Bernalillo County Fire Prevention Bureau/Fire Marshal’s Office at (505) 468-1340.
