    • Get the most out of your garden by planting what you really want to harvest, and preserving your harvest to enjoy throughout the winter. Learn about a variety of food preservation techniques including drying, fermenting, canning and more. This event is free, but you must register below using the link, or by calling (505) 314-0398.

    • Join in the celebration of the chile harvest on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. This event will offer entertainment, kids’ activities, arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, beer, wine, an amateur salsa competition, agricultural workshops, chef demonstrations and more. Start the day off hot! At the inaugural Ristra Run featuring a 10K and 5K fun run. Tickets now on sale at the National Hispanic Cultural Center or online at www.nhccnm.org. Admission is $5; 5 and under free.
