  • You’re invited to Valle de Oro's 4th Birthday Celebration! Join us Saturday, September 24th from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. for Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge’s birthday event. We’re kicking off the Refuge’s fourth year with cake, hayrides, music, food trucks, and interactive activities. This year’s event is farm-themed in honor of the property’s historic farming culture as we transition from farm fields to a restored natural habitat. This family-friendly event is free so come join us for a fun and educational day. The refuge is at 7851 2nd Street SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105 .

  • “Isleta Pueblo Since Time Immemorial to the 21st Century” Presented by Richard Garcia. This event will include traditional dancers and local food trucks. The Stories of the Middle Rio Grande - Villages of the Rio Grande series is a collection of lectures by local historians designed to bring to life the rich history and cultural traditions of the Albuquerque area from historic Old Town traveling south to the Pueblo of Isleta, one neighborhood at time. The events are free and take place at 10:30 a.m. at the Gutierrez-Hubbell House, 6029 Isleta SW, on the fourth Saturday of every month, from February to September 2016.
