    2016 Summer Program

    We offer the following programs:

    Youth Programs:

    • After School Program
      • Monday –Friday dismissal till 6 p.m.
      • Fee: Full year $312/ 9 weeks $98 / Wednesday only $18 per 9 weeks
      • We follow the  APS schedule
    • Summer Recreation (we offer the Summer Lunch program)
      • First day of registration, Feb. 1, 2016, until filled
      • Monday – Friday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. from June 13 to July 29
      • Fee: $212 per child + Registration fee of $15 for first child $10 for additional child
      • Ages: 5 - 14 (Child must have completed kindergarten in order to attend program)
      • Description: This is a structured 7-week program. Youth participants are divided into age groups and rotate throughout the facility into various activities. Sports, fitness, creativity, and fun are our goals.
      • Field trips and specialty activities are offered weekly.

    • Parky’s Pals
      This is a recreational program which emphasizes social skills, eye-hand coordination, and small and large muscle development. Activities may include: arts & crafts, computers, physical, recreation, field trips, and fun-based academics. Note: updated shot records are required before children can be registered for the program. Information for the 2016-2017 year is pending.

      • Senior and current or past military (FREE)
    • Open Gym Boxing
      • Monday –Friday 8 a.m. -5 pm and Tuesday- Thursday 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

    • Basketball P2P - Pay to Play
      Enjoy playing basketball indoors? Adult Teams interested in playing are required to call ahead and reserve a session.
      • Fee is $25.00 per session
      • Session 1:  6:30-7:30PM
      • Session 2: 7:45-8:45PM

    • Alameda Boxing
      Do you want to learn about the sport of boxing? Do you want to get in shape? Do you want to work up a good sweat and build up your endurance? Then visit the Alameda Boxing Gym and consult with our Boxing Coordinator, Ray Sanchez. Ray has the knowledge and experience you need to help you on your path to successful competitions, good amateur fun, or a great workout.

    Senior Programs:

    • Senior Meal site
      Bernalillo County Parks and Recreation and the City of Albuquerque's Office of Senior Affairs sponsor a meal site Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. These nutritious meals are available to all seniors. If you would like to order a lunch, please call the meal site before noon at least one day in advance. Meals are served starting at 11:30 a.m. Monetary donations are accepted. Activities and may include: bingo, arts & crafts, ceramics, puzzles, exercise, field trips, card games, billards, swimming and computer activities.

    • Senior Pickleball
      Four times a week we offer a free, open gym to seniors who wish to play pickleball.
      • Monday: 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
      • Tuesday: 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.   
      • Wednesday: 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. 
      • Thursday: 8 a.m.  - 2:30 p.m. .

    • This is an open level class designed to offer knowledge and experience in yoga basics, while building strength, balance, flexibility and calmess. Fee is $7 per class - first class free. Taught by Donna Bandy Barteau of BSimplyB Yoga. Call 505-506-9936.
