APS Board Honors ABC Community School Partnership Volunteer Marisol Campos

On Oct. 5, Marisol Campos, a YDI AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer at West Mesa High School last year, was recognized by the Albuquerque Public Schools Board for her vision and contributions to West Mesa High School's Mustang Clothing Bank.

ABC Community School Partnership Seeks RFQ Respondents

  • Weekly crafts, outdoor activities, and experiments will be offered to deepen your discovery of the natural world. Each visitor can make a journal and crafts to take home. Activities are correlated to school science standards making this a great opportunity for homeschoolers to learn, explore and play! Contact (505) 314-0420.

  • Join Dara Saville, founder of Albuquerque Herbalism, for a photographic slideshow on medicinal plants and landscapes of central New Mexico. Learn about the properties of some common healing herbs in our area and sample a few herbal remedies. Explore the local landscapes including the Chihuahua Desert, Sandia Mountains, and the Bosque and see how these dynamic places are evolving and what it means for our selected medicinal plants. Workshops are free, but space is limited and participants must register below or call (505) 314-0398.
