Community Event SponsorhipsBernalillo County Social Services solicits Requests for Proposal (RFP) for Community Event Sponsorships that provide health and quality of life initiatives for Bernalillo County residents to improve economic well-being, education, health, and family and community development.

Community Event Sponsorships fund community events that are free to the public. Awarded events shall support activities that ensure access to cultural, health and quality of life initiatives.

  • Weekly crafts, outdoor activities, and experiments will be offered to deepen your discovery of the natural world. Each visitor can make a journal and crafts to take home. Activities are correlated to school science standards making this a great opportunity for homeschoolers to learn, explore and play! Contact (505) 314-0420.

  • Join Dara Saville, founder of Albuquerque Herbalism, for a photographic slideshow on medicinal plants and landscapes of central New Mexico. Learn about the properties of some common healing herbs in our area and sample a few herbal remedies. Explore the local landscapes including the Chihuahua Desert, Sandia Mountains, and the Bosque and see how these dynamic places are evolving and what it means for our selected medicinal plants. Workshops are free, but space is limited and participants must register below or call (505) 314-0398.
