Youth Programs

  • Before School
    The before school program is on a first-come first-served basis and runs Monday-Friday.
     
  • Parky’s Pals
    Parky's Pals is a recreational program designed for four and five year old minds and bodies. Activities vary from music, painting, arts and crafts, to outdoor activities and field trips. Parky's Pal's typically runs from September-April. Note: updated shot records are required before children can be registered for the program.
     
  • After School
    The after school program is on a first-come first-served basis and runs Monday-Friday.
     
  • Summer Recreation 
    The summer program is seven weeks long and for ages 5-14. Regular hours are 9a.m. - 3p.m for $100. The extended hours are 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. for $212.
     
  • Summer Lunch Program
    The Bernalillo County’s Office of Health and Social Services will be providing free and nutritious meals during the summer from June 1 through August 7, 2015 for children and teens one to 18-years-old. No registration is required in order to receive a meal. Bernalillo County is committed to supporting our community in partnership with the state Children, Youth and Families Department and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. View more information on the summer lunch program.

  • “Past and Present: Barelas Community” Presented by Larry Perea The Stories of the Middle Rio Grande - Villages of the Rio Grande series is a collection of lectures by local historians designed to bring to life the rich history and cultural traditions of the Albuquerque area from historic Old Town traveling south to the Pueblo of Isleta, one neighborhood at time. The events are free and take place at 10:30 a.m. at the Gutierrez-Hubbell House, 6029 Isleta SW, on the fourth Saturday of every month, from February to September 2016.
