  • All Star Youth Dance
    All Star Youth provides a variety of dance classes; at Westside Community Center, the group holds hip-hop dance classes.
    • $19 registration fee plus $8/week

      • Thursday 7:05 - 7:45 p.m. (7-8 years);

  • High Spirit Dance
    High Spirit has been providing dance classes in Albuquerque for more than 20 years and provides a variety of classes at Westside Community Center.
    • Cost: $35/month

      • Monday Hip-Hop/Ballet/Jazz 5:15 - 6 p.m. 3 - 6 years
      • Monday Intermediate Ballet/Beginning Pointe 6 - 7 p.m. 10 years and older
      • Tuesday Cheerleading/Tumbling 4 - 5 p.m. 5 years and older
      • Tuesday Hip-Hop/Jazz 5 - 6 p.m. 7 years - teens
      • Thursday Cheer/Tumbling 4 - 5 p.m. 5 years and older
      • Thursday Ballet/Technique 5 - 6  p.m. 10 years and older
      • Friday All Boys Hip-Hop 5 - 6 p.m. 5 years and older
  • Shotokan Karate
    ​Shotokan Karate teaches traditional arts: discipline, respect and fitness.
  • All Star Youth Karate
    All Star Youth Karate program provides instruction in martial arts techniques, including blocks, kicks, punches and stances. Various child safety issues are also taught in class, and children learn "break free and run" techniques. Safety awareness notes, with an emphasis on child safety, are provided for parents to reinforce at home.

  • Mirabal Boxing​​ 
    Team Mirabal Boxing allows opportunities for training and competition. Competitive workouts and sparring for youth ages 7 and older.

  • Join the Great American Cleanup on Saturday, April 22 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Keep Bernalillo County beautiful by participating in the Great American Cleanup! We are looking for sports teams, families, neighborhood and civic organizations, military groups, business leaders, school, church groups, and anyone else interested in a beautiful community to adopt a location in your community and do a cleanup. This a great way for students to earn community service hours. This is a public right of way, school, open space, and park cleanup. Take pride in your community!   • Weekly crafts, outdoor activities, and experiments will be offered to deepen your discovery of the natural world. Each visitor can make a journal and crafts to take home. Activities are correlated to school science standards making this a great opportunity for homeschoolers to learn, explore and play! Contact (505) 314-0420.

Learn about the properties of some common healing herbs in our area and sample a few herbal remedies. Explore the local landscapes including the Chihuahua Desert, Sandia Mountains, and the Bosque and see how these dynamic places are evolving and what it means for our selected medicinal plants. Workshops are free, but space is limited and participants must register below or call (505) 314-0398.
