The mission of Emergency Communications is to enhance the quality of life by handling all 9-1-1 and other calls for service: dispatching necessary emergency services in a prompt, courteous, professional and correct manner.  We strive to save lives, protect property, stop crimes, and prevent major fire loss while maintaining accurate information for our user agencies.

  • The Emergency Communications Department’s personnel receive 9-1-1 and non-emergency calls for service, dispatch law enforcement and fire/rescue to the citizens in unincorporated Bernalillo County twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Citizens can access Emergency Communications performance percentages on the internet.
