    1. Develop language for a townhouse zone that identifies allowed uses, Area Regulations, including lot size and building height and Off-street parking requirements. Identify the appropriate location for this type of zone utilizing elements of the Comprehensive Plan
    2. Discuss proposed language with interested parties, including neighborhood/home owner associations and developers. Public Outreach
    3. Present amendments to the County Planning Commission (CPC) for a recommendation to the Bernalillo County Commission
    4. Present amendments to the Bernalillo County Commission identifying the recommendation from the CPC
    5. If adopted, have the amendments reflected in the Zoning Code

    Why is this measure important?

    This specific effort, along with similar zoning code amendments, establishes opportunities for the population of the county to have additional options to embrace current demographic trends for housing, assisted living needs, multi-generational housing and broader land use options for families and individuals who own property in the county.
