    Action Steps

    1. Identify Departments within the county that already have COOP plans assist them in conducting exercises Table Top Exercises (TTX), Drills, Full-Scale to identify strengths and weakness of their plan.
    2. Provide training to departments on the proper way to conduct and record result of exercises in compliance with the Homeland Security Exercise Evaluation Program (HSEEP).
    3. Continue to support departments to ensure they have the necessary resources and support to conduct exercise.
    4. Work with departments to ensure command emphasis is placed on completed corrective actions.


    Why is this measure important?

    This measurement allows each individual COOP Plan to be validate to ensure that the plan that is written will work properly, all employees know where the COOP location is and all the essential functions can be accomplished from an alternate location.

    Where does the data come from?

    Individuals will sign a sign in sheet at the beginning of each exercise, this information on what individuals from departments attended the exercise is reported on a excel spreadsheet retained by OHSEM

    How is the measure calculated?

    Dividing the total project number of departments requiring exercise against the number that actually participated in the exercise.
