Action Steps

  1.  Re-establish Fleet liaison for all departments. 
  2.  Staff validating vehicle data to configure the Preventative Maintenance (PM) scheduling module and make operational to fit county needs.
  3.  Develop report for vehicles due for maintenance based on vehicle technical specifications. Establish routine follow up report for non-compliance.
  4.  Send report to department director and fleet liaison 
     

Why is this measure important?

Routine inspection and maintenance of vehicles cuts down on major repairs. Get the vehicles in through scheduling (PM scheduling is being enhanced through the use of the M5 Fleet system” to ensure, based on accurate mileage all general fleet vehicles will be scheduled for maintenance).

Fleet Management Program (M5); Reports generated from within M5 software

Percentage of vehicles schedule for routine maintenance 3 times per year out of total general fleet vehicles
