"You Ought To Be Having Fun" Bernalillo County Parks and Recreation is responsible for creating and providing Recreation, Leisure and Community Services necessary to promote public well being and quality of life for youth, adults, senior citizens and special populations of Bernalillo County. The Parks and Recreation Department strives to provide access to all programs and services for every county resident, with and without disabilities.

Families and community members are encouraged to pack a picnic and visit Bernalillo County parks this summer to enjoy free films under the stars. The 2013 Movies in the Park series through Sept. 20 at parks and community centers in Albuquerque and Bernalillo County.
Bernalillo County’s four pools and the spray park are now open for the summer, offering affordable swimming opportunities around the county.

Bernalillo County will co-sponsor a statewide Bullying Prevention Symposium and Youth Gathering this Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the University of New Mexico Student Union Building.
Registration for Bernalillo County’s Youth Basketball league begins Monday, Feb. 4 for summer league play. The ten-game season begins May 4, and is open to children ages 5-14. For more information, click here.
