BernCo Welcomes Community, Providers to Mental Health Awareness Day

Bernalillo County welcomes the community, behavioral healthcare providers and nonprofits to participate in the Bernalillo County Mental Health Awareness Day on May 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Civic Plaza.

County leaders will highlight extensive mental health services currently provided by Bernalillo County, as well as announce major new initiatives to provide more help for the community. Behavioral health providers and nonprofits will have an opportunity to set up information booths on the plaza and share details about their resources with the public.

“Bernalillo County is working hard to address the great need for more and better mental health services in our community,” Commission Chair Art De La Cruz says. “This event will provide an opportunity for the county and our partners to connect with the public and highlight the many services currently available as well as new initiatives underway.”

Behavioral health service providers and supporting nonprofits interested in securing an information booth at this event are encouraged to RSVP by this Thursday, May 19 to Margarita Chavez at (505) 468-7033 or margchavez@bernco.gov.
