Bernalillo County Fire Department Presents “Operation Boo” on Halloween Night
Bernalillo County Fire Department crews will be handing out candy and reflective bags to trick-or-treaters at all of our stations between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Halloween night, October 31.
“Operation Boo is a great opportunity to reach out to the community we serve,” says Fire Chief John Garcia.  “It’s one way we can help children have a fun and safe Halloween.”

Officials from the Bernalillo County Fire Prevention Bureau offer the following safety tips:
     1. Check the labels on costumes to make sure they are made from fire retardant materials.
     2. Have your child carry a flashlight.
     3. Adults should supervise lighting candles for Jack-o-lanterns
     4. Accompany young children on their rounds and be sure to check your child’s candy.

Have a Happy and Safe Halloween!!!
