The Spanish called them musketas, they are known as gnats in England, and the Germans used the name Stechmucken when referring to these small pestering insects. Here in the United States, we know them as mosquitoes. No matter what name is used to refer to them one thing remains the same, they are annoying.
Every year around late spring and early summer, mosquitoes emerge and begin feeding. Not only are they bothersome, but mosquitoes can transmit diseases to both humans and animals through their bite.
This list shows different ways in which you can control mosquitoes and their effects, so you and your family can have a fun and safe summer.
