The county currently has 20 boards and commissions on which residents may participate, to help make a difference in the community. Bernalillo County has launched a webpage on the county website dedicated to helping residents find out more information about those boards and commissions and to apply online to possibly serve on them.
“Volunteering to serve on any of the many boards and commissions in Bernalillo County is not only performing a great civic duty, but it is also a way to have a voice in county government,” says County Manager Tom Zdunek.
Residents who are interested in serving on any of these boards and commissions can either go to
and complete the online application or they can mail a letter of interest along with a resume to: c/o Boards and Commissions, One Civic Plaza NW, Suite 10111, Albuquerque, NM, 87102.
Go to the link above and click on Board/Committee Description to find out about how and when each board or commission was established, its purpose, the qualifications needed to serve and the length of each term.
