Commissioner Art De La Cruz today announced the 2013 Hand-in-Hand event, where community members are directly connected with the people that provide public services to Bernalillo County residents.
This free event at Westside Community Center happens Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.
From road repairs to recycling, finding a county job or starting a new business, the public can learn more about Bernalillo County services.
High-level managers from each of the county’s departments will be on hand to answer questions from the community.
“I’m proud to lead this effort to bring public services closer to the communities we serve,” Commissioner Art De La Cruz says. “This is a great opportunity for people to speak directly to county government leaders about issues that affect them. At Hand-in-Hand, we’re committed to creating solutions, providing answers and delivering results for our constituents.”
Directors and managers from the Solid Waste, Human Resources, Economic Development, Parks and Recreation and other departments will be at this event to answer questions and connect the public with services they need.
