“Both new development or current property owners replacing an individual septic system can use the tool to compare system options,” says Commission Vice-Chair Debbie O’Malley.
“The guidelines provide viable alternatives for county residents and a great service for all of Bernalillo County.”
The Countywide Sanitary Sewer Service Assessment Guidelines is a guidance document to assist policy makers, technical staff, planners, developers, and homeowners in the preliminary selection of appropriate wastewater treatment and disposal options in the unincorporated areas of Bernalillo County.
The guidance document is also a tool to compare conceptual costs of the different system options.
The document can be viewed and downloaded in its entirety directly from the county’s website, /wastewtrsystm/.
The guidance document was developed in conformance with Bernalillo County Code, Chapter 42, Article IV, Division 10 title. It does not modify or replace the current wastewater code.
