The Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority announces that installation of valves on a 16” water line will require water to be shut off for approximately 12 hours for homes and businesses in the area bounded by Coors Boulevard on the east, Blake Road on the north, Rio Bravo on the south, and Grace Vigil Road on the west.
The outage is scheduled for 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, through 10 a.m. on Friday, June 15.
For people needing emergency water, water stations are planned for the southeast corner of Coors and Blake Road, and at Barcelona and Sylvia. Residents in the affected area are advised to complete their household water use for the day before 10 p.m. on June 14.
The outage is necessary because no water can be in the water line during installation of the valves.
