Before and After Photos of Atrisco Vista
This project was done in two phases and cost the county $77,242.71 to replace the 39 original lighting fixtures with LED lighting fixtures.
The input wattage for the LED fixtures is about 241W as opposed to 400W, so they use about 40% less power. Major benefits to using LED fixtures is that they require less power, they are brighter and they provide a more uniform distribution of light on the pavement and sidewalks. It will take approximately six years to recoup the funds because these fixtures are quite a bit more expensive. A standard lighting fixture would have a payback of only two to three years.
The LED light fixtures have a 50,000 hour warranty, or about 11 years, with a life expectancy of 100,000+ hours which is over 20 years.
Initially, ten fixtures were changed which took the contractor about two days to complete. For the 2nd phase, 29 fixtures were changed which took approximately five days.
