Commissioner Maggie Hart Stebbins is holding her monthly "Lunch with the Commissioner" on Wednesday, Feb. 20 from noon - 1 p.m. at the McKinley Community Center. This month's guest is Katrina Hotrum, director of the county's Department of Substance Abuse Programs (DSAP).
The Department of Substance Abuse Programs was established in 2006 for the purposes of providing Substance/Alcohol abuse treatment to County residents. DSAP operates the Metropolitan Assessment and Treatment Services Campus, Jail-Based Addiction Treatment Program and Outpatient Substance Abuse Programs for individuals on CCP.
Prior to working at Bernalillo County, Katrina worked for the State of New Mexico’s Department of Health. There she managed 6 state hospitals and 1 community program for developmentally disabled. Katrina was also responsible for the operation of the state’s Developmentally Disabled Waiver Program.
