On March 18, the Bernalillo County Public Art Program held an "Upcycled Art" lecture and tin collage workshop as part of the Women & Creativity series.
Attendees received a brief lecture on upcycled art, learned the history of using recycled materials in fine art, and viewed examples of contemportary women artists using upcycled materials in public art. Finally, they were able to create their own masterpieces from repurposed tin.
The event is part of the "Women & Creativity" series, a month-long celebration of women's creativity and entrepreneurship coordinated by the National Hispanic Cultural Center and Harwood Art Center.
