Commissioner Lonnie Talbert invites the community to the 2013 Day in Paradise celebration, a free community event at Paradise Hills Park, this Sunday from 1 – 5 p.m.
This free event, located at the park and adjoining community center at 5901 Paradise Blvd. N.W., will feature the county’s new outdoor rock climbing wall, free laser tag games and other outdoor activities for children and families, performances from local middle- and high-school and community groups, and vendors selling foods that showcase the tastes of the season – barbecue, hot dogs, roasted corn and lemonade.
Additionally, Talbert and other county officials will recognize four Paradise Hills outstanding citizens who have contributed through community service.
“I’m excited and honored to celebrate my first Day in Paradise as a Bernalillo County Commissioner,” Commissioner Lonnie Talbert says. “Residents of Paradise Hills are truly proud of their community, and this is a great way for us to celebrate the coming of summer, as well as the people and parks that make Bernalillo County a great place to live.”
