Bernalillo County’s four pools and the spray park open this Saturday at noon, offering affordable swimming opportunities around the county.
Each facility opening this weekend offers affordable admission. Veterans have free admission, as well as seniors 50-years-old or older.
The Parks and Recreation Department has hired about 60 employees to manage the program, from lifeguards to pool managers and cashiers.
Each pool is open seven days a week from noon to 5 p.m. for recreational swimming. Contact each pool for more information about swim lessons and pool rentals in the mornings and evenings.
The Alameda Spray Park is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from noon to 6 p.m. on weekends.
The pool schedule switches to weekends only on Aug. 11 and the pools close for the season on Sept. 2.
