BernCo Animal Care Services and the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management are heading up to the Pecos Fire with personnel and the supplies needed to set up a temporary animal shelter.
“Officials from the Pecos fire contacted us earlier today and we are happy to be able to assist them with temporary housing of their animal population during this fire,” says Roger Tannen, Bernalillo County Emergency Manager.
