The University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) awarded the Chancellor’s Certificate in Public Administration: Finance Master to Isabelle Purcella, County Chief Deputy Treasurer of Bernalillo County, NM, at the recent Annual Meeting of the National Association of County Collectors, Treasurers, and Finance Officers (NACCTFO) on July 18 in Fort Worth.
To qualify for the certification Purcella attended at least 100 hours of public administration training through UMSL’s program in Public Policy Administration in partnership with NACCTFO.
“UMSL's Chancellor's Certificate Program gives county finance professionals an opportunity to keep up to date on best practices and learn how to more efficiently administer the duties of their offices,” said Dr. Deborah Balser, Director and Associate Professor of the Public Policy Administration Program at UMSL, which coordinates the program. “Isabelle Purcella's completion of the program is a testament to commitment to public service.”
