The Public Works Division will begin road maintenance work on Second Street, south from Alameda Boulevard to just north of Alamosa Road in the North Valley. The three day, road maintenance project will be conducted between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. beginning Thursday morning through the afternoon of Saturday, Oct. 26.
Temporary single lane closures and lane shifts will affect traffic but at least one lane will remain open at all times going in both directions. Every effort will be made to keep two lanes open for southbound morning rush hour traffic and two lanes northbound for the afternoon rush hour because of the Paseo/I-25 interchange project.
The road work being performed is a preventative maintenance measure that helps to extend the lifetime of the road.
The length of the road project is about 3.5 miles and costs $200,000.
