The Alameda North valley Association believes that now more than ever that we as a community need to help out neighbors struggling to make ends meet during this difficult economic slowdown. Each year there are children in the Alameda community that miss school because of a lack of clothing and basic necessities. There are seniors on fixed incomes struggling to pay their utility bills and medical bills.
If you or your neighbors have outgrown clothing, can goods or items like please drop them off at:
The Raymond G. Sanchez Community Center, 9800 Fourth NW.
For additional information please contact:
Bonita Martinez - R.G. S. Community Center Manager at 468-7800,
Bonita “Bunny” Martinez, Center Manager, asked for help: ”Please let everyone know we are collecting limited items for seniors and those in need in our community. Items like soap, shampoo, hair conditioner, lotions, socks, gloves and so forth are often items seniors need and often forgo because of tight budgets.” Next time you are shopping pick up an extra box or package of items and drop them off at the Center.
You can be assured that the items will be going directly to help another person or family in need.
If the RGS Community Center is not near you please check with your church, school or other community group and see if they have a program to help community members in need. If they don’t have a program suggest that they start one – now.
We hope everyone has a good and safe holiday season!
