If a picture paints a thousand words, Jerry Goffe’s photos speak volumes. And the best part about that is Goffe enunciates beautifully. His fabulous nature photography will be the subject of Bernalillo County Commissioner Maggie Hart Stebbins’ next public art show highlighting local artists from her district. It is the ninth in a series of public art receptions.
The event featuring Goffe’s photography will be held on Friday, January7, 2011, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
at the City County Government Building, One Civic Plaza NW, on the 10th floor in suite 10111. Goffe’s works can also be viewed on his website at www.naturephotoworks.com
“Photography has been Jerry’s professional career and personal passion for over 40 years. His photographs have appeared in Sunset Magazine, Architectural Forum, AIA Journal, Smithsonian Magazine, Strad Magazine and National Geographic,” says Commissioner Stebbins. “He travels throughout Alaska as well as Costa Rica every year leading photographic tours and learning different methods for getting exciting pictures. He also is a volunteer guide and photo instructor at Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, just south of Albuquerque, in New Mexico. We are lucky to have Jerry as a member of our community.”
