District 2 Commissioner Art De La Cruz invites residents to attend a public meeting to discuss the design plans for the Bridge Boulevard and Isleta Boulevard Intersection Safety Improvements Project.
“Pedestrian safety is at the heart of the design for this intersection,” says Commissioner Art De La Cruz. “The new intersection will be built to compliment the South Valley Gateway Park, which in and of itself will become a destination for the residents of the South Valley.”
The public informational meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, with an open house beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the presentation beginning at 5:45 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Westside Community Center located at 1250 Isleta Blvd SW. Bernalillo County Public Works Division staff will provide important information about this phase of the intersection safety improvements project. The Parks & Recreation Department will have a representative on hand to share some information about the status of the South Valley Gateway Park. A question and answer session will wrap up the meeting.
