Hubbell North is Now Home to New Mexico Dahl Sheep

The Hubbell North property in the South Valley is the new home for a small group of New Mexico Dahl Sheep, which includes a ram, two ewes and a baby lamb born recently on the property. Visitors to the Gutierrez-Hubbell House will now have the opportunity to see this newest addition to this historic property and relive a part of Bernalillo County and New Mexican history.

  • Our popular Backyard Farming series continues throughout the fall of 2016 featuring experts in their fields who will provide hands-on experiences giving participants practical information to transform their backyards into a thriving urban oasis of food, medicine and wildlife habitat. "Composting Basics and Improvements" - Learn about compost basics and turning garden and food waste into nutritious soil to improve your garden and landscape from the ground up. Come with your toughest questions! The workshops are FREE; however, space is limited and participants must register at www.bernco.gov/openspace. For more information, call (505) 314-0420.
