Professional Visitors are Law Enforcement Personnel, Private Attorneys, District Attorneys and Public Defenders
Rules and Regulations:
Length of Visits.
1. Entry will be granted from:
a. 8:00am. until 2:00pm.
b. 4:00pm. until 8:00pm.
c. If an attorney visit is being conducted during this time the Attorney will be permitted to complete his/her business.
d. Any entry other then the times designated above in “a” and “b” must be approved by the Security Major or his/her designee.
2. All Professional Visitors must provide the following:
a. Valid New Mexico Drivers License or Identification Card
b. BAR Association Identification
c. Agency Identification (APD, BCSO, PD, DA etc.)
d. All other Professional visitors must obtain approval from MDC Administration prior to entering the Security Perimeter
3. Dress Code:
a. Professional dress only
b. All visitors must wear shoes at all times, shoes must be fully enclosed, no open toed shoes are permitted.
4. Professional Visitors will be allowed to bring in the following items:
Paperwork, briefcases, and writing material related to the visit
All electronic devices and all other items must be approved by MDC Administration.
5. The following items are NOT allowed:
Smoking Material or Tobacco
Note: The Chief of Corrections may authorize items at his/her discretion.
