  • Join the Bernalillo County Public Safety Division for two “Pancakes with Public Safety” fundraisers on Saturday, July 18 and Saturday, August 8. The events will raise money for the United Way of Central New Mexico and introduce you to Bernalillo County’s exciting public safety departments.
    Location:
Bernalillo County Fire Station 32, 1701 Arenal Street SW.

  • Bernalillo County’s Division of Public Safety is again among the sponsors for this year’s Link conference. For those who are unfamiliar, The Link refers to the link between abuse of animals and human violence. When an animal is being abused in the home, statistics show that a human family member is also being abused. As a result, multi-disciplinary public safety and public -serving agencies are finding effective ways to collaborate and cross-report in order to reduce community violence. This year’s Link conference will feature national and local speakers--to include our own Lt. Andrea Taylor, on behalf of BCSO, and Misha Goodman, Director of Animal Care Services Department--to highlight what other jurisdictions are doing with demonstrated success. Conference attendees will include social workers, law enforcement officers, judges, tribal social services, attorneys, animal care workers, administrators, domestic violence workers, and related professionals.
    Location:
National Hispanic Cultural Center, 4th Street SW, Albuquerque, NM 87102
