Proposed Storm Water Ordinance Will Provide Quality Protection and Improvement-- Two public meetings scheduled for community discussion and participation --

Bernalillo County –  BernCo has a drainage ordinance that addresses storm water drainage and storm water runoff control. The proposed storm water quality ordinance will create regulatory controls that will ensure that storm water quality improvements prior to entering the Rio Grande.

Two community meetings are scheduled to provide a venue for public discussion and input regarding BernCo’s draft storm water ordinance.

The meetings have been scheduled as follows:

 

North Valley Area

Monday, Nov. 14, 6 – 7 p.m.

Raymond G. Sanchez Community Center

9800 Fourth St NW

 

South Valley Area

Thursday, Nov. 17, 6 – 7 p.m.

Mountain View Community Center

201 Prosperity Ave SE

 

The draft storm water ordinance is available for review online at http://www.bernco.gov/public-works/epa-regulation-of-stormwater-in-bernalillo-county.aspx. Additionally, hard copies of the draft storm water ordinance are available for public review at the following locations:

  •          South Valley Library
  •          North Valley Library
  •          Cherry Hills Library
  •          Tijeras Library
  •          Bernalillo County Public Works Division
