  • MRCOG is pleased to announce an important upcoming workshop, “The Road to 2020”. Every 10 years, the U.S. Census Bureau conducts a complete population count for the purpose of apportioning the seats in U.S. House of Representatives. However, over 1,000 federal programs use census data to allocate money to tribal, state, and local governments. Census data also support grant applications and helps communities plan for future needs. MRCOG is teaming up with UNM’s Bureau of Business and Economic Research and the U.S. Census Bureau to bring to you this informative workshop designed to help get your community ready for the 2020 Census. Come find out what you need to know to make sure your community is counted! Where: MRCOG, 809 Copper NW When: Wednesday, May 3rd, 9:00am to 12:00pm Who: Elected officials, local address experts, data analysts, cartographers, clerks, and administrators are all welcome! Please view the workshop flyer and then register here.
