Welcome to the East
Mountain Trails & Bikeways Planning
website!
A draft of the East Mountain
Trails and Bikeways Facility Master Plan will be presented
on October 27, 2004. All East Mountain neighborhood
associations and interested individuals are cordially
invited to meet with East Mountain residents and project
planners to discuss this project. Draft resource management
plans for 9 County and City-owned Open Space properties
also will be on display and project representatives
will be there.
This Master Plan is the
result of several months of citizen input and trail
corridor analysis to determine where future multi-use
trail corridors should be located. It is the first comprehensive
attempt to define the existing and future trail network
that could link Open Space properties owned by the City
or County, national forest lands managed by the United
States Forest Service, commercial areas, and residential
neighborhoods.
Residents whose property is within proposed trail corridors
are also being contacted prior to the Open House. We
look forward to seeing you on the 27th. The material
presented on October 27 is DRAFT and is subject to revision..
