Youth Services Center

Youth Reporting Center (YRC) diversion program provides supervision to youth assigned to the program by the Community Custody Program (CCP), the Probation Department, Drug Court, Program Empowering Girls (PEG) and other court programs.

The youth are supervised Monday through Friday during the day into the evening hours. This program provides families extra support, until the youth is returned to an educational setting, a job, is able to reintegrate back into the community appropriately or has adequate supervision in the home. We offer a variety of structured programs that are geared towards skill based instruction that promotes, encourages and reinforces proactive and acceptable social behaviors.

Programs may include: educational placement and instruction by APS staff, participation in civic duties within their communities, equine therapy, conflict literacy, drug and alcohol education, life skills, ropes course, yoga, zumba activities and STD/AIDS education. Fun activities may include: fishing instruction and participation, bowling, swimming, Isotopes games, movies, miniature golf, Albuquerque Zoo/BioPark/Aquarium or museums throughout Albuquerque. YRC and GRC is dedicated to offering continuing services that provide positive alternatives to secure detention.
