Capital Improvement Program

Bernalillo County has a continuous, six-year Capital Improvement Plan which provides a link between the needs and visions of the public and the county’s capital expenditure budgets.

Mandatory Nonprofit Organization Capital Outlay Meeting April 28, 2016

Bernalillo County will hold a mandatory New Mexico state Capital Outlay Information Session for nonprofit organizations on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Government Center, One Civic Plaza, Vincent E. Griego Chambers.

The information session will present the state’s and county’s required procedures to secure capital outlay funding from the New Mexico State Legislature at the 2017 legislative session, which begins its 60-day session in January, 2017.

Compliance with these requirements is necessary for legal and fiscal accountability, for adherence to the state’s anti-donation clause, and to ensure that public tax dollars are spent as intended.

Attendance is mandatory if your organization intends to pursue capital outlay funding during the 2017 legislative session with the anticipation that Bernalillo County will accept and administer capital outlay funds for an nonprofit organization's project.

See more information on this meeting.

Bernalillo County’s Capital Improvement Program is hosting district informational meetings in March and April to inform the public about the 2016-2022 Capital Improvement Plan and 2016 General Obligation bond questions that will be on the November 2016 ballot.

Residents are welcome to attend any meeting that is convenient to their schedule since meetings will focus on the entire county, not just individual districts.
