5:11 PM

BERNALILLO COUNTY – The Department of Behavioral Health Services is taking the necessary precautions to quarantine clients and employees after learning of a discharged client who is at potential risk for coronavirus (COVID-19).

The client entered the CARE Campus on June 19, and was asymptotic for the entire stay. The client remained on campus for 3 days, while participating in the detox program.

In an effort to mitigate risk and protect the safety of staff and clients, the CARE Campus at 5901 Zuni, will not be accepting new clients, at this time.

All staff and clients who were in contact with the client are being tested for COVID-19 and are following quarantine procedures. The CARE Campus is actively using personal protective equipment and safety protocols for staff and clients on a daily basis.

The Bernalillo County CARE Campus is dedicated to the continuum of care for individuals living with substance abuse addictions and mental health conditions. From homelessness to public safety, access to quality behavioral health care within the community is integral, and is offered in the heart of the international district.
