South Valley Pride Day Outstanding Citizens will be celebrated as outstanding role models during the annual parade and honored at a formal ceremony April 28 at Westside Community Center as part of South Valley Pride Day 2019.

“Many volunteers and community leaders donate their time, talents and energy to make our neighborhoods a better place to live, work, play and do business,” says Commissioner Steven Michael Quezada says. “Each year, the county is humbled to honor and thank them for their great work and dedication to the District 2 community.”

South Valley Pride Day is a celebration of everything that makes the South Valley wonderful and unique. It will begin with a parade at 11 a.m. and feature numerous musical acts, including Chevel Shepherd, recent winner of The Voice, at 12:15 p.m. There will be other live entertainment, youth performers, food trucks, and arts and crafts vendors all afternoon!

South Valley Pride Day Parade

South Valley Pride Day 2019 is coming on Sunday, April 28. It begins with the annual parade at 11 a.m. The parade will begin at the corner of Isleta Boulevard and Blake Road and proceed north on Isleta to Westside Community Center.

If your organization or group would like to be in the parade, the deadline for parade entries is Friday, April 19, 2019.

You may mail or drop off the application form to: Mountain View Community Center, 201 Prosperity S.E., Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87105.
