First Responders Offered Free Vehicle Sanitation

Bernalillo County Commissioner Steven Michael Quezada is teaming up with ABQ Sanitation to offer first responders sanitation of their personal vehicles against coronavirus (COVID-19).

The misting process offered by ABQ Sanitation takes less than five minutes from treatment to completion and kills the COVID-19 virus as well as other health-risk contaminants.

“The first responders in our community are exposed to the coronavirus on a daily basis as they do their jobs,” says Commission Vice Chair Steven Michael Quezada. “We fail to think about the virus that may linger in the cars they drive home. I just want to make sure we protect these workers and their families from this virus.”

Any first responders, such as sheriff’s deputies, firefighters, ambulance attendants, city police officers, or other front-line worker, can have their car or truck sanitized, for free.
