Commissioner Hart Stebbins Welcomes AFD Captain Jackie Lance White to Her Monthly Luncheon

01/09/2018

Commissioner Maggie Hart Stebbins would like to invite all to her next monthly neighborhood luncheon on Wed., January 24 from noon to 1 p.m. at the McKinley Community Center, 3401 Monroe NE.

This month’s guest speaker is Jackie Lance White, Captain - Albuquerque Fire Department.

Captain White, a former athlete at the University of New Mexico (1994-97) and the Canadian Olympic softball team (1997-2005), has served with the AFD for the last 16 years.

Her experience includes fire suppression, para-medicine, cadet and paramedic instruction, oversight of the special operation division (hazmat, heavy technical rescue, wildland), emergency response at all city-sponsored special events, plus the design and implementation of the action plan for hostile mass casualty incidents, which includes a community outreach program for teachers, students, and the private sector. Currently she is Captain of Fire Investigations and oversees seven law enforcement officers.

Captain White will demonstrate techniques that might save your life and the lives of others during an emergency situation – a real possibility in today’s world. These techniques, including preparedness, response and aftermath action, will show you the immediate actions necessary to survive an attack or accident.

This is a Brown Bag Luncheon – you bring a sandwich and we will provide the beverages. An RSVP to jhartley@bernco.gov is appreciated.

Please feel free to share with your friends, neighbors and association memberships.
