Commissioner Hart Stebbins Invites All to Monthly Luncheon


Bernalillo County Commissioner Maggie Hart Stebbins would like to invite you to her next monthly neighborhood luncheon on Wednesday, Dec. 12, noon-1 p.m., at the McKinley Community Center, 3401 Monroe NE.

This month’s guest speaker is Paul Bardacke, Attorney-Bardacke Allison LLP. Paul has practiced law in the public and private sectors for over 40 years.

Paul has served as New Mexico’s Attorney General and chief negotiator in the Indian gaming negotiations. He represented the state in its tobacco litigation, as a Special United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico and as Special Counsel to the State of New Mexico for the Windfall Profits Tax Litigation. He has tried over 25 jury trials and currently his practice focuses on mediation and arbitration

Paul will discuss his lawsuit to end the closed primary voting system currently in effect in New Mexico. New Mexico is one of only nine states with a closed primary system.

A special New Mexico Lunch will be provided. Larry Gallegos will be on hand to play his guitar and sing before the meeting begins. Please RSVP to jhartley@bernco.gov.
