Commissioner Hart Stebbins Invites Everyone to her Next Luncheon

Bernalillo County Commissioner Maggie Hart Stebbins would like to invite you to her next monthly neighborhood luncheon on Wednesday, Feb. 20, noon-1:00 p.m. at McKinley Community Center, 3401 Monroe NE.

The speakers this month are Charmaine Gutierrez, City of Albuquerque Program Manager-Supper Meals, and Ruth Rosenstein, Owner-Rhubarb and Elliot.

Rhubarb and Elliot first started cooking delicious lunches and delivering them to local schools and community centers eight years ago. Today they serve over 2,000 students. Rhubarb and Elliott is dedicated to bringing healthy, wholesome and delicious food choices to students. Their meals and snacks are prepared to exacting standards -- made-from-scratch, seasonal, interesting and tasty; using local, all-natural and organic ingredients whenever possible.

Bernalillo County in partnership with the CABQ Department of Family & Community Services sponsors the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) At-Risk After School Supper Meals Program. The Supper Meals Program provides free hot and nutritious supper meals to youth enrolled in 27 After School programs in the city of Albuquerque and 5 Community Centers in Bernalillo County.

This is a Brown Bag Luncheon – you bring a sandwich and we will provide the beverages. An RSVP to jhartley@bernco.gov is appreciated.

Please feel free to share with your friends, neighbors and association memberships.
