Corrales Bosque Fire

Because recent precipitation has reduced fire danger in Bernalillo County, the Bernalillo County Fire Marshal’s Office is rescinding fire and open burning restrictions for all unincorporated areas of Bernalillo County.

The burning of dried tumbleweeds is now allowed in piles no larger than three feet by two feet. The burning of any other material is prohibited. Burn hours will be from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, contact the Bernalillo County Fire Prevention Bureau at 468-1310.

The Bernalillo County Fire Prevention Division is located at The Atrium, 6840 Second Street NW, Second floor, Suite 207. This division consists of a Division Chief, an administrative officer who works in the office Monday thru Friday 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.. There are a total of six field Deputy Fire Marshals; four of which work a rotating 24/7 shift, with up to two fire marshals per shift, and two who work a 10/4 shift.
