La Familia Growers Market 4th Annual Back to School Giveaway and COVID-19 Vaccinations

Bernalillo County and South Valley Mainstreet invite the public to the La Familia Growers Market, this Friday July 30, from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m., at Dolores Huerta Gateway Park, 100 Isleta Blvd. SW, for the 4th Annual Back to School Giveaway.

Backpacks filled with school supplies, masks, and hand sanitizers will be distributed at 4:30 and again 6 p.m.

Also, the New Mexico Department of Health, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Bernalillo County paramedics will provide free Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations on-site for ages 12 and up.

The growers market will feature South Valley farmers, arts-n-crafts, poetry, performances, music, food trucks, and raffles. Bring a t-shirt to silk screen an image on it.

Interactive activities from:
The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, Explora Children’s Museum and the Learners Chess Club.
