Masks Required in County Facilities

Bernalillo County – Bernalillo County Manager, Julie Morgas Baca, has issued an administrative order requiring masks for anyone entering a Bernalillo County facility.  The measure comes as the number of positive COVID-19 cases is on the rise in the county.  Most of those cases are from the highly contagious Delta variant.

The county manager was granted the authority to enact safety and health measures during the COVID-19 crisis, and those emergency powers remain in effect.

As of Monday, Aug. 2, anyone entering a county facility must be wearing a mask and continue to wear a face covering while inside the facility.  Outside county facilities, such as parks or pools, masks are not required though they are highly encouraged.  Additionally, the county endorses social distancing of six feet.

All county buildings are equipped with sanitation stations with hand sanitizer or wipes available.

The new mask mandate will remain in effect until further notice.
